Wyclef Jean accepts role as roving ambassador for Haiti
The Prince of Port-Au-Prince Wyclef Jean has accepted a role as roving ambassador of Haiti in an effort to improve its image.
Wyclef Jean is a citizen of Haiti even though he lives in the United States.
Haiti is the poorest state in the western hemisphere and suffered a violent rebellion in 2004.
His Yele Haiti foundation promotes arts, education and sports as a way to bring jobs and development to Haiti.
Wyclef is currently at work on his new album The Second Wind.
