2005 Biggest Producer Scott Storch Robbed of a Grammy Nomination

Well, Well, Well, Don’t Hate the Player, Hate the Game….Dr.Dre’s loyal understudy and super-producer Scott Storch has narrowly missed out on a Grammy Nomination for the ‘Producer of the Year’ category. Seems that Grammy Committee better stop tha hatin’ and do tha roc-a-way…coz everybody else did it!

Scott Storch
The Man who brought you such hits as the Terror Squad summer smash “Lean Back”, 50Cent’s “Candy Shop” and Chris Brown’s Chart Killer “Run it” amongst other numerous hits feels he was snubbed for the Award. When Storch Learnt of the nominations he expressed “I was extremely dissapointed to find I was not nominated, and even more so when I saw the list of nominees.”

The Neptunes, Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis, Danger Mouse, Nigel Godrich and Steve Lillywhite have all been nominated for the 48th Annual Grammy Award. 2005 saw Storch start the year with 20 weeks on the No#1 spot on the U.S billboard charts with Mario’s “let me love you” and 50’s “Candy Shop”

The Heavy-Weight Super-Producer was thought to be a sure thing considering he was the winner of the Billboard’s “No#1 Hot 100″ and “Hot R&B/HipHop Producer of 2005.”

All in all Storch Produced a massive 13 Hit Singles that were released in the ‘05-Below we profile an insight into the beat-master’s tasty ingredients…
According to USA Weekend Magazine, Storch’s four Ingredients for a sure-fire club-banger are:

1. REALNESS “The artist has to be believable for the audience to take a song seriously.” Exhibit A: Black Thought’s street-corner poetry (over Storch’s sci-fi keyboard riff) gave the Roots’ 2004 rap “Don’t Say Nuthin’” instant credibility.

2. SIMPLICITY “Everyone gets and understands it.” Think of Eve’s sexy 2001 smash “Let Me Blow Ya Mind” (with Gwen Stefani). Whether you wear Underoos or drop Viagra, the pared-down beat made your toes tap.
3. CATCHY HOOK “It’s got to be something the listener will remember.” Fans still hum the chorus to Beyoncé’s 2004 top-10 single “Me, Myself and I,” set to Storch’s slow groove.
4. BOUNCE “Every club record needs a strong beat that’ll make people dance.” The driving bass line of Fat Joe and Terror Squad’s ‘04 superhit “Lean Back helped create the biggest dance craze since the Harlem Shake.
