MOBB DEEP to Release “Blood Money” March 21st

After Dropping 2005’s Outta Control Remix with 50 The Em-o-bee-bee / Dee-ee-ee-Pee are finishing their highly anticipated March release “Blood Money“.
The first single will be called “Put them in their Place” .It is seen as their signature Mobb Deep statement track and is supposed to convey to the fans that it’s still the same Mobb just with better financial and media backing.
Upon speculation that 50cent may have sculpted the group to fit the G-Unit formula Havoc assures he never tried to change us. We never worried about trying to change to fit our new team. That would have never happened.”
The Album is rumoured to be mainly Mobb-made with 10 tracks recorded prior to signing with 50’s G-Unit label.
Havoc explains,
“I’ll still be rockin’ most of the beats, but on the album you gonna hear stuff from other producers as well. I don’t really care who those guys are and how they work. As long it’s a bangin’ track, we gonna spit over it.”
However in the lead up to the Albums release on March 21st 20 or so songs have been recorded with the G-Unit general. “Pearly Gates“, produced by Exile, which features 50cent will compete with the Dr.Dre produced “Nightmares” and the Alchemist produced “I got this” and “The Infamous”.
In an Interview with SOHH.com Prodigy states,
“Hav did 90% of the production on the album. We’re making history though, in terms of money being spent, the lyrics, the way it will be promoted, the products we’re putting out-everything.”
Early industry response has leaked that Havoc will make his mark as an A-Class producer in contrast to Prodigy who has impressed early listeners with his Street scriptures and his gritty sharp steez.
The Album will feature a tight line up of guest appearances including the queen of HipHop, Mary J.Blige, Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo amongst others
The QueensBridge duo also recently finished the Anger Management Tour with the Shady/Aftermath Family.
Lets hope for sum classic Mobb “ishhh”

[…] Talk of a collabo was discussed at a New York concert in August of 2004. M.O.P. and Mobb Deep announced they intended to release a M.O.P./ Mobb Deep joint album. Despite this M.O.P and the Mobb were “too busy” during the touring / recording process and as a result the brownsville boys never made it to the new Mobb Deep release, “Blood Money” Havoc discussed the difficulties in trying to collab, “We were just been so busy. When we was on the tour together, you got five different artists trying to get in the studio at one time. Everybody was basically doing them and we didn’t get the chance to actually do a song with M.O.P. We wanted to. In the future, we definitely are going to do a song with M.O.P. And definitely, we got the [conceptual M.O.P./Mobb Deep] album in mind. It would be crazy.” […]
