Jay-Z comes out of retirement with a number 1 and 600,000 of “Kingdom Come” moved
After just completing his worldwide Roc Da Block tour and launching a world water charity campaign, Jay-Z has hit the Billboard 200 at number one with “Kingdom Come” selling 680,000 albums in the U.S. in its first week.
This was Jay-Z’s biggest selling debut album ever and means he’s third equal with The Rolling Stones for most number one albums (nine). Just behind the Beatles with 19 and Elvis Presley with 10.
Well the fan’s must like it selling alright when you look at it in this context. Jay-Z’s come back album Kingdom Come has recieved mixed reviews.
Can it keep on selling or will it dive like T.I.’s King album after the first week debut?
