Jadakiss to face weapons charges regardless of DNA evidence.
After being arrested in October 06 New York rapper Jadakiss has still faces court hearing over a stolen .38 calibre pistol which does not contain any trace of his DNA. Yonkers police pulled over the Toyota Camry and searched the car after smelling marijuana from the vehicle.
A stolen firearm was found in the centre storage compartment.
Jada’s lawyer, Clement Patti stated, “They’re saying that there’s a presumption (of possession) … but with no fingerprints, (and others’) DNA, in the interest of justice they should dismiss the charges.”
After tests were carried out the DNA of the 3 other men in the car was found present on weapon. Jada will still have to face court on felony gun charges despite there being no formal tie to the weapon. He will appear with the other men next month in Westchester county court.
