Despite Rampant Speculation To The Contrary, Fat Joe Is Still On Atlantic Records Roster
After his most recent solo album “All Or Nothing” sold rather underwhelmingly and the Terror Squad’s self titled album suffered the same fate, speculation has abounded that he and his Terror Squad crew have been dropped from Atlantic Records, he has come forward to set the record straight.
This from Label CEO Craig Kallman Via Ballerstatus:
“Fat Joe is an icon in the hip-hop community — an artist, producer, writer, tastemaker, and entrepreneur with tremendous vision, influence, and creativity,” said Kallman. “We are proud to have had Fat Joe as a member of the Atlantic family for the past eight years, and we are looking forward to continuing our great relationship with Joe and his Terror Squad label.”
Over the last few years, Atlantic Records has amassed an enviable roster of some of the best hip-hop talent going around, including former Cash Money heavy hitter Juvenile, self proclaimed “King Of The South” T.I, Carolina’s favourite hip-hop sons Little Brother, chart topping snappers D4L, part-time pornstar Lil’ Kim, Missy ‘Misdemeanour’ Elliot, the avuncular Trick Daddy, rapid rhymer Twista, the Just Blaze protege Saigon, mr rap nerd himself Lupe Fiasco, Nappy Roots and reportedly, the much hyped mixtape rapper Papoose.
