DMX To Release His New Album “The Year of The Dog, Again” This Summer
After 3 years waiting DMX (Born Earl Simmons) is slated to release his new album, “The Year of The Dog, Again”, around mid year.
The album will be launched through Ruff Ryders/Sony Music. Originally titled “here we go, Again” was due to be released through Def Jam last June. Since then X’s life has seen many twists and turns resulting in a departure from the Def Jam powerhouse. Swizz Beats is holding down the top dog’s project. Swizzy has reportedly produced the 1st single titled, “we in here”. The Ruff Ryders producer has been behind some of DMX’s biggest tracks including the Gone in 60 Second’s party anthem, “Up in here.”
This will be the Yonkers resident’s 6th studio Album following 2003’s “Grand Champ“. After time in and out of prison, label negotiations and personal life complications have all contributed to long delays in X’s recording career.
He’s Planning to make 2006 the Year of the Dog…Again.
