According To Forbes Magazine 50 Cent Was The Highest Paid Hip Hop Artist of 2005
50 Cent’s movie “Get Rich Or Die Trying” may not have done so well this year but according to Forbes magazine he was the highest paid Hip Hop artist of 2005 banking a nice $79 Million. His get rich or die trying mission is obviously paying off.
Touring money and revenues from the G-Unit stable have made up for his lack in the box office.
50 Cent like others in the industry have gone for multiple income streams in the hip hop industry and this has proven to pay off.
No other hip hop artists were in the Forbes top ten.
Aged Rockers the Rolling Stones were way in front of anyone else earning over $162 million from their tour of the US alone. U2 and country star Kenny Chesney came in a distant second and third.
